Short Version

We only use a small number of essential local-storage items to make the site work and to remember your preferences. We use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool for basic traffic measurement, it does not track you across sites. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies or any third-party behavioural tracking.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Browsers also support similar technologies like localStorage. We use the word "cookies" below to cover both.

Cookies and Storage We Use

The following items may be stored by this site on your device:

  1. minster-theme, remembers whether you chose the light or dark display mode on our legal pages. Stored in your browser's localStorage. Persistent until you clear your browser data.
  2. Booking system session cookies, our online booking platform (operated by ProHire) sets its own session cookies when you complete a booking there. Those cookies are controlled by ProHire, not by us.

All of these are "strictly necessary" in the sense that they either make the site work or remember a direct choice you made. We do not set any optional cookies, which is why you won't see a cookie consent banner on this site.

Analytics We Do Use

We use a cookieless analytics tool to count page views and see which pages are popular. It does not set any cookies on your device and does not build a profile of you across sites. It records the page URL, the referring page, your approximate geographic region (derived from your IP at request time, not stored against you), your browser type and the time of the request. This data is not shared with advertisers and is not used to serve ads.

What We Don't Use

For transparency, we want to be explicit about what is not on this site:

  1. No Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or other cookie-based analytics scripts.
  2. No Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight or any other advertising or remarketing pixels.
  3. No behavioural tracking, session replay or heatmap tools.
  4. No cross-site tracking of any kind.

In addition to the analytics above, our hosting provider records basic server-side request metadata (IP, user agent, page requested) for short periods for security and reliability. That data is not stored on your device and is covered in our Privacy Statement.

Your Choices

Because we do not use any optional cookies, there is no consent to give or withdraw on this site. The only items we store are the strictly necessary ones listed above.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies and clear localStorage. If you do, the site will still work, but your theme preference on our legal pages will not be remembered.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. If we ever add analytics or other optional cookies we will update this policy, add a consent banner, and ask for your permission before loading them.
